Background
Klub was written by David French specifically for a voluntary consumer rights organisation.
It reimplements a legacy system running under Microsoft Windows.
The reimplementation addresses the need for upgrades of the previous system due to
evolving requirements and allows the organisation to dramatically cut software licensing costs
by migrating to a Linux platform. It is hoped that it will be useful to
other voluntary organisations who need to keep track of members.

Cons
The needs of one particular organisation drive Klub development.
If conflicting requirements emerge with the rest of the Klub
user community then the project will be branched to the Kollectiv name.
